By enrolling in the Sitter Train on line Au Pair training course, you will be more confident in caring for children, gain some really useful childcare skills, deal with homesickness, communicate effectively with your family and get 1st Aid knowledge!
The course will take you about 8 hours to complete and you can log in and log out at your convenience.
You will be asked to watch instructional videos, learn from case studies and complete short quizzes along the way.
You will have a Au Pair Training Certificate on completion
Developmental stages, age appropriate activities and behaviour management
Going out, sun and heat exposure, car safety, water safety, riding on wheels, playgrounds and backyards and farm safety
How to hold a baby, nappy changing, bottle and formula preparation, food preparation and healthy snacks, getting dressed, hygiene, bath time and bed time
Serious injury serious illness, cuts scrapes and bleeding, head injuries, fractures, bumps, bruises and signs of abuse, burns, bites and stings, allergies and asthma, medication safety, poisons and choking.
Indoor safety, fire safety at home, pet safety and natural disasters and emergency response
Starting your own babysitting business/adjusting to life as an Au Pair, being professional and knowing what is expected of you.
